CCT#134 - What's Bugging You?

This week on Cute Card Thursday we want to see bugs/butterflies etc. on your cards. I have used Magnolia Stamps "Tilda as Butterfly" and coloured her with Promarkers then framed the aperture with punched and inked shapes finished with Liquid Pearls, which was a technique I saw on the Whiff of Joy Inspirations Blog here. Punches are Woodware, Martha Stewart and EK Success and flowers are from Wild Orchid. I have used Basic Grey Capella papers outside and inside and inside masked off the image and used Stampin' Up and more Magnolia stamps to create the scene.

I am away this week so hope the scheduled posting works!!

CCT#133 - No embellishments/hand made

I was in my element this week with our theme from Cute Card Thursday as I just love making my own embellishments :-)

I used Basic Grey Capella paper with Stampin' Up cardstock to make the card. Tilda has been coloured with Promarkers and accented with Glossy Accents and I have chalked the background to soften it a bit. I used the negative bit of a nestability die-cut as a frame for a wee change. The flower/leaf embellishments were punched using Woodware and Martha Stewart punches, with Liquid Pearl centres and I made the bronze motif with the Melting Pot and a mould. Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly.

Don't forget to pop on over to the CCT blog to check out the DT's amazing work and also our Guest Designer Caz's creation too ...... and not forgetting our amazing sponsor's prize too of course!!

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday

I saw this great idea on Debby's blog and thought I would join in with this bit of fun. If you fancy joining in too you can find Julia Dunnit's blog here.

I am looking a bit chaotic at the moment as I have about four things on the go just now so please excuse the mess!!

Whilst we are having a "sharing" moment I just thought I would share with you my first EVER card from six years ago that I found on the depths of the hard drive whilst looking for something else. GUFFAW and SPLURT!!!

.......... and on that note I am going to tidy my desk!!

Hello!! How are you??!! It's been soooo looooong. Well - I dragged my mojo out from it's hiding place down the back of the sofa and got making. Gosh I feel good to be in a creative mood again.

Over on Cute Card Thursday our theme is "Tick Tock" and we want to see your clock or time inspired creations. I have used paper from Basic Grey's Pyrus 6x6 paper pad and a mixture of Kanban and SU coloured card. Stamped image is coloured with Promarkers and is by Sarah Kay. The vintage style lace is from my local florist and I've made a little rosette with it too to put a Wild Orchid tea rose inside and a pin through. The clock stamped image is from Crafty Individuals and I've used Distress Inks.

I'm a bit rusty but bear with me!!

Schtuff!!

It's FIL's birthday today and, seeing as how he's gotten into boat fishing recently I thought a little book to keep record of what fish gets caught (or gets away!!) would be in order.

It's the first time I've gotten "messy" in a looooong time and it was absolutely wonderful!! I used Grungepaper and my Slice to cut out the words and then embossed, Distress Inked and finished with either Distress EP, Distress Stickles or transparent Viva Croco paint. Paper is Imaginisce and the little embellies were either cut with the Slice or made.

I am so pleased I finally got to use this great MSI fishy sentiment stamp and "Conrad" by Personal Impressions goes with it perfectly!! I love them and they have both lived in the drawer a long time waiting for this moment :-)

The card was totally inspired by this month's Craft Stamper - I had a "Ooooh I have that stamp" moment!! Not seen ink before of course but it has now!! Hobby Art stamp is coloured with Derwent chalk pencils and I used a Grungeboard frame coloured with Adirondack Dabbers and again the Viva Croco paint then a bit of Distress Ink over the top. Some sand-coloured EP finishes off the shaker card.

Hope he likes them!!

Hearts have wings ....

Well they do on this card anyway!!

It's DH's parents' anniversary today so a great opportunity to use the Tim Holtz die for the first time. I covered the top of the heart with an Adirondack Dabber in Pearl and sprinkled Glamour Dust over the top. I've used a Martha Stewart punch for around the edge (and we will all pretend we can't see where it went wonky ok???!!)

Just because ......

..... I haven't been into my craft room "properly" for two months now and I just HAD to make a card for friends' new home. Know what? I really loved it and have been pottering at night again trying to tidy up and get ready to hopefully do some creating properly again soon.

I made the background ages ago with alcohol inks and used this great stamp from Crafty Individuals. Sentiment is Catslife Press and card is SU.

I am not joining in any challenges just now and am just trying to do as and when the mood strikes. I really want to get the mojo back but am scared I frighten it off if I do too much!!

CCT #104 - Anniversary

It's our own Caz's 21st wedding anniversary today on Cute Card Thursday - happy anniversary Mr and Mrs "Caz"!!

I've used this fabby Kraftin Kimmie Moonlight Whispers stamp "Josephine" and coloured her with Promarkers. Paper is from Basic Grey "Green at Heart" paper pad and card is SU. I don't think Josephine needs much else really - she's just toooo wonderful on her own!!

CCT #103 - 2 Year Celebration!!

Well it just seems completely unbelievable to me that it's two whole years since we all started on Cute Card Thursday!! It's true though and this week we are having a "Celebration" theme. This could be a birthday, anniversary, wedding or any interpretation you wish really.

This is DH's birthday card - he's MY hero!! I've used Greetings Farm stamps coloured with Promarkers and clear Sakura Gel pen, a Cuddly Buddly word bubble, SU card and paper from Designer Digitals. Continuing with the stars I've used a "Crafts Too" embossing folder, Martha Stewart punch and to finish it off I've used a Papermania mini card spring to make my superhero really fly!!

Well I spoke too soon when I said we were all better as a very nasty sinus infection awaited me and I've been really poorly. I got strong anti-biotics from the Dr which looked like horse pills but they sorted me out and I've been feeling much better. I really, really hope that's us for a while here now as it's been one thing after another with the three of us and I've had enough!!

CCT #101 - Ribbon-Tastic!!

Gosh what a week it's been!! We are all just about recovered now. It was like a Dr's waiting room in here for a while!!

Right onto the fabby challenge this week from Cute Card Thursday. We want to see your ribbon - either a little or a lot. One of my favourite things is ribbon - I just lubs it!!

I have used the digi image "AJ" by our amazing sponsor this week - The Stamping Boutique and have coloured him with Promarkers and Sakura Gel pens. Paper is K&Co Hopscotch Boy and card is SU. Lovely striped ribbon is from Josy Rose online (this is an amazing shop I have used for years) and I've used a new Cuttlebug embossing folder on the red panel. A sentiment from Craftwork Cards finishes this card off. Very hard not to pile on the embellies but it IS for a boy so I retrained myself!!

Cute Card Thursday # 99 - In the Name of Love

Ooops - bit late with this one today!! DH's impending return always finds me running around like a fly with an indigo rear end!!

Right - we had to have all the love stuff this week on Cute Card Thursday didn't we - it's the law or something you know!!

This card was made with magazine freebie papers, Magnolia Stamps Wilma with Rose coloured with Promarkers(soooo cute!!) with dew-drops done in Glossy Acents.

I made everything else on my much-neglected-but-now-using Slice.

Pop over to see the DT's lovie-duviness and check out our fabulous prize from sponsor Simon Says Stamp.

Sorry I've gone AWOL on you again - Ben is off school with a chest infection and has not been a very patient patient!! I hope to be back later today. Thanks for your messages and e-mails peeps - I appreciate it.
