Sugar Bowl Challenge 14 - Sketch by Judy

Fabby new sketch by Judy this time from The Sugar Bowl and I jumped at the chance to use this previously un-inked Sugar Nellie stamp "Stitch" by Leanne Ellis to decorate this 8x8 album to keep pictures of my sewing projects!! There's an extra request this month of "Sparkle" on your project - which wasn't hard!!

I started using VersaMagic chalk inks to decorate a chipboard panel which I'd previously given a key with gesso. I then stamped the image, allowed it to dry and triple embossed the panel with normal "Gloss" EP (not UTEE) to get extra shine. I then used two separate bits of calico fabric, left one plain and decorated the other one with the same chalk inks before sewing them together and fraying the edges a little. Then I used Adirondack Daubers to decorate the chipboard album front and more chalk inks on the SU Sage card, which I edged with a Fiskars punch. Some K&Co and Basic Grey papers are hiding in there too and the Paper Artsy tape measure twill ribbon is attached to more Calico stamped with swirls. Flowers are by FloraDoodles and I used a tape measure flat-backed button as the centrepiece.

Glitter flowers, some gems and a sparkly button add the extra sparkle!!

I so enjoyed creating this and feel back into my crafting again. I am having a play with a canvas and some beeswax just now so hope to have something else to share soon. Thanks for looking.

Passion for Promarkers #5 - Meadow Green & Lemon

Well this is the first challenge I have made anything for for absolutely AGES!! I haven't entered the Passion for Promarkers challenge before but the colour combo this week was just too yummy to miss!! I actually wondered if I would remember how to use the Promarkers as it's been that long, but I just about managed(!)

I have coloured Tilda with Butterfly's clothes and hat just with Meadow Green and Lemon Promarkers. I wanted to show that you can achieve shading effectively just with the same colour, albeit with a little patience as you really need to do your outlining twice before you shade.

DP is Basic Grey Lime Rickey, cardstock is from a DCWV Mat Stackand I've used SU Oval All punches and sentiment. Martha Stewart border punch and Prima Flowers finish her off.
