CCT#133 - No embellishments/hand made

I was in my element this week with our theme from Cute Card Thursday as I just love making my own embellishments :-)

I used Basic Grey Capella paper with Stampin' Up cardstock to make the card. Tilda has been coloured with Promarkers and accented with Glossy Accents and I have chalked the background to soften it a bit. I used the negative bit of a nestability die-cut as a frame for a wee change. The flower/leaf embellishments were punched using Woodware and Martha Stewart punches, with Liquid Pearl centres and I made the bronze motif with the Melting Pot and a mould. Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly.

Don't forget to pop on over to the CCT blog to check out the DT's amazing work and also our Guest Designer Caz's creation too ...... and not forgetting our amazing sponsor's prize too of course!!

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday

I saw this great idea on Debby's blog and thought I would join in with this bit of fun. If you fancy joining in too you can find Julia Dunnit's blog here.

I am looking a bit chaotic at the moment as I have about four things on the go just now so please excuse the mess!!

Whilst we are having a "sharing" moment I just thought I would share with you my first EVER card from six years ago that I found on the depths of the hard drive whilst looking for something else. GUFFAW and SPLURT!!!

.......... and on that note I am going to tidy my desk!!

3 in 1

Gooood morning. A lovely sunny but windy day here in South West Scotland so I have put my vest and long socks on!!

I made this card using K&Co McKenna Papers and Stampin' Up cardstock using the sketch from this week's Friday Sketchers. The Sugar Nellie (Mary Hall) stamp "Butterfly Fairy" has been coloured with Promarkers and Glossy Accents with Glamour Dust here and there. This week's challenge from Wild Orchid Challenges is "Stitch it Up" and I used a stitches stamp I got from a set on E-Bay to make the faux stitches around the edge of the square. Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly, punches Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up and roses from Wild Orchid. Finally, as the theme this week on Passion for Promarkers is "Recyled" I used these little rose leaves that came as part of the wrapping with some soap. Knew they would come in for something!! Us crafters eh?? A whole room full of stash and I STILL can't stop cutting and pulling things off!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Piling it on!!

Had a great reason to make a card today - a really lovely lady I know got engaged on Thursday!! Congratulations Lois and Kevin. Bursting to see the ring!!

I used this gorgeous Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper onto a folding card made using instructions I found here. Cute Penny Black image has been coloured using Promarkers and Polychromos pencils with Glossy Accents on the hearts. I don't know what it is about these hedgies - I just don't think they ever look as good coloured with Promarkers!! I have used a Martha Stewart punch for the border at the bottom and a sentiment from Cuddly Buddly. The lovely spotty bows are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here's a side view to get an idea of the fold

I am entering this card into a number of challenges:-

Wild Orchid Challenges - Ribbons and Bows
Spoonful of Sugar - Spots and Stripes
Penny Black Saturday - Don't be Square
Pile it On - Cute and Charming
Stamp Something - Celebrate

Thanks for stopping by.
