CCT #93 - Sketch

Well it's all over for another year eh??!! Our decorations are already down as I was fed up with looking at them!! Time for some crafting me thinks and this week on Cute Card Thursday we have a fabby sketch by our very own Caz to play with. I fancied doing something a bit different this week to show just how versatile sketches can be.

My papers are from Designer Digitals and card is SU. I've used this gorgeous image from the Love Anya set and coloured her with Promarkers. Punches are Martha Stewart. Calendar is Anita's and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, coloured with Versamagic ink and buffed up. Some Liquid Pearls and Stickles with a bit of ribbon finish it off.

We have another great sponsor this week (I used one of their cats on last week's card) and the DT have created some really beautiful creations so pop on over and have a go!!

CCT 92 - Happy New Year!!

Wow - it's very nearly Christmas you know!!! Goodness what a chaotic time we've had here but it's been brilliant and even better as DH is still here!!

This week on Cute Card Thursday we've got another fabby sponsor Sew Many Cards. I've used an image from next week's sponsor Stretch n Bubbles coloured with Promarkers and Glamour Dust on my card (got my weeks mixed up - DOH!!). Cardstock is SU, DP is Basic Grey Origins edged with a Martha Stewart punch. Flower is Flora Doodles and sentiment I did on the computer.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

Madder than a mad thing

Some lovely "people" (and I use that term loosely) have been leaving me horrid pornographic advertising comments so I've put on my comment moderation in the hope that they sod off!!!

Not done much crafting lately. Been helping with the costumes for the school play and getting my baking and Christmas card writing/present wrapping up to date. I was so in front this year and then we went away for a few days and all of a sudden I was behind!! That's what you get for being smug!!

Anyhowz - I did finally get this Karen Foster Advent Calendar decorated using Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers. It was finished on 5th December so Ben missed out on the chocolate for a few days ......... well I've only had it since July - give me chance!!

Very nearly caught up now. Whoooooo hooooooooo!!

Cute Card Thursday # 89 - Girly Swirly!!

It's Thursday again!! My week seems to go from one Thursday to the other at the moment with no days in between!!

This week on Cute Card Thursday we want to see your girly cards incorporating swirls.

We are sponsored by Nutcrafters who kindly donated this lovely image which has been coloured with Promarkers, Glamour Dust and Glossy Accents. I've used a Magnolia Swirly stamp with Elzybells white pigment ink on Kraft and SU cardstock. Gold Krylon edging and some ribbon with a button finish her off.

Cute Card Thursday # 88 - Snips and Snails ....

It's time for a new challenge from Cute Card Thursday and this week we want to see your cards for little boys (always a hard one I think!!).

This Cuddly Buddly Fireman has been coloured with Promarkers and I've used a template from WS Designs to make the nested shapes. I've cut out a sentiment on my Slice and added some stamping around the edges of the cardstock. A bit of ribbon finishes him off.

I've finally shook this illness off and am pretty much getting back to normal now, thank goodness!! I have been ill for three weeks now and we are away this weekend but I am booking a lovely long blog hop next week!!

Cute Card Thursday # 87 - Teen Terrors

Another great theme this week over on Cute Card Thursday - make a card for a teen. I've used this dotty card blank from a My Mind's Eye pack with Greetings Farm Anya coloured with Promarkers. Sentiment is from Elzybells and I've used gems, ribbon and Martha Stewart edge punch to finish the card off.

Quick post today - I'm pretty poorly with a chest infection and slight pleurisy and thanking goodness DH is home as I am not fit for anything but lying in bed just now!!

Sunday 15 November 2009

Phew!!

This is what I've been doing the last couple of weeks - making all this jewellery and organic cosmetic products for the local Craft Fair. It was yesterday and I did really well so thanks for everyone local who came and supported!! Especially HUGE thanks as always to my wonderful husband who not only stirred bath salts, soap and lip balms but also came up with some great ideas and fetched and carried everything. He's a wonderful and supportive man!!

I've got anti-biotics now for my chest infection so should be tickety-boo in no time. I am long overdue a visit to everyone!!

Cute Card Thursday # 85 - Primary Colours

I can't believe it's been TWO WHOLE WEEKS since I last blogged. OMG - where did the time go?? I've been spending loads of lovelytime with my two boys (the big one is home on leave!!) and haven't even been near my craft room.

Anyhowz, this week on Cute Card Thursday our theme is "Primary Colours" and we are sponsored by the very fabulous Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. As always, the DT has done some wonderful colourific creations for your inspiration.

My Kraftin Kimmie image was coloured with Promarkers and I have used the same little cupcake to make the background as well as to create the little cupcakes. I've used Glossy Accents all over the place as well!! Plain card is SU. Sentiment is Creative Expressions and the wonderful sealed glitter card really, really is completely sealed!!

Really hoping to get some creative stuff done this week - have all sorts of soaps, lip balms and resin creations buzzing around in my head so will be busy!!

KISS Monday #4

As she'd hurt her wrist, Annie asked me to be her Guest Designer this week over on KISS Monday and of course I was more than happy to. I chose a theme of "Handmade Flowers" and I think this card just about fits the bill!!

I have coloured the gorgeous Dahlia from The Greeting Farm with Promarkers and used Basic Grey Indian Summer papers with matching Bazzill cardstock. Punches are EK Success, Woodware and Martha Stewart. A Cuddly Buddly sentiment and some Glamour Dust finishes her off.

As DH came home a whole week early and we are on half-term already here, we are away on holiday now until Saturday. Be good!!

Thursday 15 October 2009

Cute Card Thursday # 82 - Spook Fest!!

We are having a Spook Fest over on Cute Card Thursday this week and want to see all your spooky creations!!

I have used stamps from a Serendipty Cling set and coloured with Promarkers and Glossy Accents. Papers are Designer Digitals, edge punch is Martha Stewart, embossing folder is Crafts Too (they are identical to Cuttlebug folders - I got mine at The Craft Barn) and I've used a little Karen Foster bat brad to finish it off.

We've got an amazing sponsor again this week and wonderful DT creations to admire so pop on over to the blog and have a look-see.

Daring Cardmakers - Autumn Purple

Brayering is good for the soul. It's official.

The theme this week over on Daring Cardmakers is "Autumn Purple" and I used Ranger inks on my brayer and this gorgeous stamp by Crafty Individuals. Paper is Basic Grey Euphoria and the lovely sentiment is by Impression Obsession.

Off to light my umpteenth scented candle/incense combo in an attempt to stop the house smelling like a pickling factory (a big downside of making chutney for the last 2 weeks!!).

KISS Monday #3

Well it's only Tuesday so I'm doing well this week!!

This is my card for Annie's KISS Monday. The lovely snowman was a FREE download from Cuddly Buddly, as was the lovely backing paper. I have coloured with Promarkers and I DID use a Versamark pad to stamp tiny snowflakes on my larger red punched ones but my camera just will not pick them up. Punches are Martha Stewart and sentiment is also Cuddly Buddly.

Off to carry on stirring my last batch of chutney!!

Monday 12 October 2009

Stamp Something - Brown

This week the theme on Stamp Something is "Brown Somethings". I made this box last night with the Sizzix XL Box #3 die using K&Co papers and SU stamps, punch and card and realised it pretty much fits the bill!!

Going food shopping today - I've run out of white wine and cider vinegars with all the chutney I've been making and I have two marrows left just crying out to be "chutneyed" so I need some supplies. It's a half hour drive to the supermarket so I can't just "pop" to the shops!!

Saturday 10 October 2009

KISS Monday #2

Waddya mean it's Saturday!! Okay, okay I may be a "few" days late with this one but here is my card for this week's Kiss Monday.

I've used this gorgeous CC Designs Swiss Pixie and coloured her with Promarkers, Inkssentials white pen and some Glamour Dust. Paper is K&Co Kazoo Kids and card is SU. Punches are Woodware, EK Success and Martha Stewart. A few splodges (including quite a few on myself) of Liquid Pearls finish it off. Nice and simple again - going for this style more and more these days.

PFP #20 - Recipe

Here I am again explaining yet another absence!! My wee fella was off school with conjunctivitis and was very miserable and upset so no crafting for me!!

Did get to my desk last night now "normality" is restored here (at least until the school finishes for the holidays today that is!!). This week's challenge over on Passion for Promarkers is to use any colours and a little recipe. I have had this gorgeous and delicious looking Stampavie Tina Wenke stamp on my desk for longer than I care to admit and thought this Stampendous sentiment was just the perfect companion for him!! He's coloured in Promarkers with Sakura clear gel pen and some Glamour Dust. Papers are Basic Grey Cupcake.

Off to do the ironing now. Oh joy!!

Cute Card Thursday # 80 - A Pinch and a Punch!!

Rabbits!! It's the first of the month today so on Cute Card Thursday we want to see your cards celebrating the "First" of something - 1st birthday, 1st anniversary or (in my case) 1st Christmas.

I have kept this card simple as I think this gorgeous bear from Lilli of the Valley is just gorgeous on his own!! I've kept the Promarker colouring "scratchy" to match the sketching of the image. Paper is Basic Grey Fruitcake and I've used some Glamour Dust, chalks, Christmas ribbon and crystals to finish it off. Sentiment is from the computer punched out using SU Oval All punches.

New SU Catty today - YEY!!!!

We've another fabby sponsor and amazing DT creations again this week so pop on over and check them out!!

Wednesday 30 September 2009

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges - Punch it!!

This week the theme on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges is to use punches on your creation.

I inked up this oh so cute Hero Arts set for the first time for this ATC and used a (small) piece of one of my precious Washi papers and some glitter cardstock. Punches are SU and LeonieM.

I'm so glad to be back making these little fella's again!! I so love my ATCs and this one will be kept until I have a thank you something-or-other to make in a hurry.

Check out the DT's lovely work this week and don't forget we have a Greetings Farm Wild Sprout stamp to give away for one lucky entrant this September so why not join in with us?

Tuesday 29 September 2009

A Happy Coincidence!!

I love it when this happens!! I made this card last week and lo and behold what is the theme this week from Daring Cardmakers? "Tartan" - YEY!!

I coloured this gorgeous Serendipity Cling image with Twinkling H2O's and some glitter glue before matter and laying up with the tartan paper and gold and green card. A Craftwork Cards sentiment finishes it off.

KISS Monday #1

My friend Annie has come up with a fabby idea - KISS Monday (Keep It Simply Sweet). The idea is that every Monday between now and Christmas you make a card and share it. There are a few fun rules to keep things interesting so pop on over and check it out!!

Now - this week the was rectangles and squares. Okay so my base card is a square and the mat but I kinda went off here with the image and sentiment. Hopefully Annie will let me off (being honest I didn't notice this aspect of the challenge before I made the card!!)

I've coloured this fabby Sugar Nellie Snowman with Promarkers and used puffy snow on him too. DP is Basic Grey Eskimo kisses and cardstock is Bazzill. I so love ordering from Craft Obsessions - they always have matching Bazzill cardstock all picked out for you with each collection. Sentiment is Cuddly Buddly and I have used an EK Success border punch too.

I haven' had much chance to play with the new Promarkers before today and gosh it's hard to get used to integrating the new colours!! I feel like I've got to learn how to use these all over again now as the staple colours that I have always used to create skin, hair colours etc. have now all changed. Oh well - it keeps things interesting!!

Ooooooooooo .........

............. I got an award!!

Thanks Annie - this was just what I needed after weeks of being in the crafty wilderness!!

The rules are that you share 5 things that you are addicted too and pass the award onto 5 other blogs.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm ... IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER OK!!

1) - Crafty shopping. No point denying it right??!!
2) - Reading. Can't live without it.
3) - My husband - can't get enough of him. Unfortunately never can due to his job!!
4) - Crisps - my waistline will attest I tell the truth!!
5) - Earl Grey and Vanilla tea - very civilised this one eh??!!

Now for my five peeps:-
1) Leann; 2) Marlou; 3)Terrie; 4)Dawn and 5)Sandy.

I am off upstairs to my desk right now to create something!!

Tuesday 8 September 2009

Poorly sick

I've got a sinus and ear infection so will be missing for a few days. Got anti-biotics from the Dr now though so should be sorted in no time. Thanks for all your well wishes peeps - it really means a lot.

Piling it on - and on, and on, and on!!!!

Well it's been a strange week here. We've been car hunting and car buying. Then Ben caught a sniffle and then I caught it too so I've been pretty rough for a few days to be honest.

Managed to make a card tonight without sniffling all over it so that's an improvement anyway!!

Catching up on all the challenges on one card here - in the true spirit of Pile it On who want to see "Round" things. My Basic Grey Indian Summer paper is just circles galore and we've got a button and a round sentiment to cover this bit.

Then A Spoonful of Sugar want to see "Distressing" so I used my Fiskars tool to distress the edge of all the Designer Paper.

The theme from Stamp Something is to use your favourite stamp and also die cuts/punches. I've used my Magnolia Swirl stamp with Versamagic Chalk inks on the Bazzill cardstock, punched out the hearts and die cut the sentiment with Nesties.

Passion for Promarkers want to see something girly and sparkly in any colours of your choice. I've glittered the hearts and used Anita's Glitterations border peel-offs along the edges of this lovely Penny Black Hedgehog (well I think he's girly - I wouldn't send him to a man anyway!!).

Finally (phew!) the team from Penny Black Saturday want to see your "Heart's Desire" on your card and I think I've got that more than covered!!

Thanks for looking.

Tuesday 1 September 2009

Helloooooooo!!

Still here. It's been a busy week. DH came home on Thursday. We have been tooing and froing like mad catching up with everyone and having family time also.

BIG news is that my carrots came second in the local Flower Show (well it's big news to me!!). Apparently this is somewhat of a coup in my first year so there are some disgruntled chaps. Oooops!!

Will be back on Thursday with my CCT DT card.

Friday 28 August 2009

Piling it On!!

This card was made using the great sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar this week. I have used this lovely Belles & Whistles by Elizabeth Bell stamp and coloured her with Promarkers in the colours Lilac, Lavender, Amethyst and Aubergine - the colours set by this week's Passion for Promarkers. As I've also got 3 handmade flowers, 3 Swarovski gems and 3 Card Candies my card also qualifies for this week's theme of "Good Things Come in Threes" from Pile it On. This is the challenge for me - all I seem to do is combine challenges as there are so many fabby ones around!!

I have used a paper pack designed by Vanessa Arbuthnot for the English Paper Company for the backing and the flowers. Leaves are made using Martha Stewart punches. Card is SU, as is the sentiment. I've just added a bit of aubergine coloured satin ribbon to finish the card off.

I am scheduling this post as I hope I am having far too good a time with my husband to be blogging {{WINK}}.
