Sardines!

On the UK Stampers Forum we had an altered sardine tin swap and, as I do like something a bit(!) different I thought I would give it a go. I stared at it for a few days and just couldn't get away from the "fishy" feeling so went for this fabulous stamp designed by Suzi Blu for Unity Stamps. She's called "Elena Seaside" and I think she's guarding all her treasure. Is the gentleman whose picture is in the locket the jewel-eyed skull in the chest? Only Elena knows the truth ...............

CCT#160 - Weather Inspired

Another scheduled post from me this week for Cute Card Thursday where the theme this week is "Weather inspired".

I made this card for a friend to give to her mum on Mother's Day a couple of weeks ago and used this lovely Whiff of Joy lady that has never seen ink in the 2 years I have had her *shame*. I coloured her with Polychromos pencils and decoupaged her umbrella before adding Crystal Effects. Paper is Basic Grey and tulle is Bazill (from Craftsulove). I have added a computer-generated sentiment and 3 Card Candies to finish it off.

I am on holiday this week so a quick scheduled post from me.

This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is "Tropical" - this can be your image, colours or any other interpretation you wish.

I have coloured Hawaiian Tilda with Polychromos pencils and used a Stampin Up stamp to make the background. Paper is Basic Grey and sentiment is by Impression Obsession. I have used a Spellbinders die to make the flowers and layered butterfy from vellum and a Nellie's Die for the vines.

CCT#158 - Couples

Good morning Thursday - how did you come around so quickly again??!!

A great theme this week from Cute Card Thursday of "Couples". This could be a card for a couple, or featuring a couple of characters (human or animal)...whatever "couple" you choose. We are sponsored this week by the lovely Denise from Whimsy Stamps and the DT have created some beauties as always so do check out the CCT blog.

I have used a Penny Black hedgie stamp coloured with Polychromos pencils and paper from the Prima Botanicals paper pad. The green seam binding was from Creative Treasures and I added a little red to it with a Copic before doing a triple bow. Crystals are Prima E-line (I cut them up and they do about 3 cards each pack!!) and the sentiment is Penny Black also. A simple card but I do think restraint sometimes is appropriate (just sometimes!!).

Happy 3rd Birthday Cute Card Thursday!!

WOW - it's three whole years since Cute Card Thursday began!!! Happy birthday CCT!!!

I haven't been able to make anything, which I am really upset about seeing as I have been on the DT from the start, but even though I am now much better I have conjunctivitis and it's not conducive to focussing too much on anything.

Anyhow we are sponsored this week by our regular sponsor Simon Says Stamp with a very generous $20 credit voucher so pop on over to the CCT blog for full details and also check out the beautiful birthday cards the DT have created.
