CCT#204 - Flower Power

A great theme this week from Cute Card Thursday - show us your blooms!! Yes, we want to see beautiful flowers on your creations. Suspect we will get a large participation this week lol!!!

I've used these lovely Bildmarna stamps coloured with Promarkers. I stamped then masked off the coffee set and stamped the lovely girl cook over the top. The "Recipe" was stamped onto cream card and I used Distress Inks to colour the background.

Papers is from Glitz Design "French Kiss" paper pack and card is SU. I got the lovely big flower at the bottom from an embellishment swap on UKS and made the other one and bits and bobs with punches. A couple of Card Candies finishes it off.

Gothic Arches - Bedecked and Beribboned

We are going all out for ribbon this time on Gothic Arches. This challenge will run until 19th February.

This is my first completely digital piece done on Craft Artist Professional. I've had this programme for ages and not really done much with it so am enjoying playing around with the various different functions.

The Stampsmith Challenge #27 - Love and Lace

I have re-discovered this stamp company again and found their challenge site. The current theme is "Love and Lace".

This is Ophelia - who until recently was my one and only Stampsmith stamp. I have stamped her onto SU card with Versafine, then masked her off and used a Crafty Individuals background stamp all over the card. The lace was white but some Promarkers soon sorted that out!! The quote is from a K&Co book I have had for years.

I have a few new Stampsmith stamps winging their way "across the pond" to me so I am sure this is not the last you have seen of these beauties!!

CCT#202 - Button & Bows

Another lovely easy theme this week from Cute Card Thursday - "Buttons and Bows".

I have used this cute CC Designs stamp and coloured her with Promarkers. Card is SU and paper is from Glitz Designs "Vintage Blue" collection. I've gone a bit overboard with the huge multiple bow but I like the effect!! The sentiment and punched shape is also SU.

Fairy Woodland (in a tin!!)

We did an altered Altoid/hinged tin swap on UK Stampers this month with a theme of "Winged Things" and here is my tin. The fairy is a Personal Impressions wooden stamp I have had for years. I used moss for the floor and cinnamon sticks for the logs (it smells gorgeous!!). The mushroom and berries are from my stash (which means I cannot remember where I got them lol!!). The tree is part of a Magnolia stamp

I have used up the scraps from the MME Bloom and Grow papers I used 2 weeks ago (*good girl*) and added a Magnolia image coloured with Promarkers and Glamour Dust. Some Prima bling and punched leaves and corners finish it off.

Gothic Arches - Metallic Fever

It's a new theme of "Metallic Fever" for the next two weeks on Gothic Arches.

I have used paper from Prima "Botanicals" paper pad and over-stamped with a Prima birdcage stamp and Stampendous swirls and dots. I cut the Tim Holtz die out in metal and ran it through an embossing folder. The brown embellishment is a flower I cut off an old top. I then coloured a piece of tissue paper with Distress Inks and covered with Glass Bead Gel. A Prima gem and a bit of tape measure twill for a hanger from PaperArtsy finishes it off.

Gothic Arches - New Beginnings

Happy new year and lots of best wishes for the coming year. I am recovering nicely now from my operation at the beginning of December and we had the most amazing holiday to Egypt at the beginning of November (seems like a bazillion years ago now though!!).

Exciting news for me - Effie and myself have been given very kind permission from the lovely Nancy Maxwell-James to look after the wonderful Gothic Arches challenge blog. Nancy has been very busy with personal and professional commitments and the blog had been on hiatus for a while.

We have set the first bi-weekly challenge as "New Beginnings" and I so hope that you will join in with us - I have always found this challenge lends a real creative freedom and is extremely enjoyable.

I have created my Arch using Distress Stains, a Karantha Designs stamp and a phoenix image from Google Images. A few gems, a feather and lots of glitter glue finish it off.
