Cute Card Thursday #36 - Red & Green

We're going all Christmassy again this week on Cute Card Thursday with our theme of "Red and Green".

This is a Spiral Whisper stamp coloured with Sakura pens, chalks and Promarkers. I've used Basic Grey Wassail paper, some Prima flowers with brads and bits to finish it off. The sentiment is from an ATC paper pad and I coloured it with chalks and Sakura Christmas Green pen. It's a really bad photo but I tried for 3 days to get a better one without success - sometimes they just don't wanna be on film!

Award!

Thanks so much to Annie and Jo (she of the Fairy Mad) for this award.

Now - you know what's coming don't you? I am supposed to pass this onto 5 people but everyone else seems to already have it so if you don't then it's YOURS in all your fabulousness!!

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges - Bring on the Bling!

This week it's something really easy from Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges - Bring on the Bling! Use anything bright, shiny or sparkly on your ATC with one of the cute round faced character images. We do hope you will find this any easy challenge and want to join in the fun with us this week. Don't forget to take a look at the Design Team's creations for some inspiration.

This cute Hanglar and Stanglar image was sent to me by a friend. I have coloured her in using Promarkers, Sakura pens and Art Institute Glitters with a little flat-back hangbag and heart for added bling! The sentiment is a peel-off sticker mounted onto some card and the bling-tastic backing paper is from a huge bundle I got from my friend Billie. Thanks for looking.

Wedding Invitation

Something I've gotten myself into in the next 12 months is to make the invitations, place cards etc. for a friend's wedding next year. Well - I started having a play last night and this is what I came up with. My friend and her intended chose the stamp themselves and I was asked for "plain" with white and silver. I made the little UTEE embellishment in the Melting Pot after using a Heritage Stamp pushed into Mould and Pour to make a mould.

Comments please - I have never made any invitations before and would like to get it right before I show it to my friend and her finance!

WOW I got a card done!

Well I got totally fed up with doing my stuff for the Craft Fair and got the glossy card and Stazon out last night. Had great fun AND I remembered to wear my gloves!!

Reading through the challenges today I overstamped the background with this Penny Black sentiment stamp and further stamped with this SeeD Santa and Sleigh stamp. I then used a reindeer stencil and pounded black Versafine through it to make the bottom border. I then used a Versamark pen to outline just the outside edges and embossed with gold powder. As this card uses just one sheet of card I can enter it into this week's challenge from Stamp Something and it also qualifies for Penny Black Saturday as I have just used a Penny Black sentiment stamp.

Back down the salt mines. Have 20 candles to decorate tonight! Thanks so much for dropping by. Normal service (whatever that is) will be resumed asap!
