Stamp with Stampavie #24 & DCM - Giving thanks

Well, things have changed over at the Stamp with Sarah Kay that was. It's now Stamp with Stampavie and you can use all Stampavie and LeLo Designs stamps on your creations. It's also the first challenge of the year from Daring Cardmakers and their theme is "Giving Thanks" so this card fits the bill nicely!

This is a Lelo Designs stamp and I have coloured it with Promarkers and Sakura pens. The paper is all from Papermania Scruptious 6x6 pad and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. I have used a double corner punch on the image and sentiment and edged with pink pigment ink. Some twill and gems finish it off. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black Saturday #28 - Multi-fold

Just made this challenge too from Penny Black Saturday as there will be a new challenge tomorrow!

This PB hedgie has been coloured with Promarkers and sakura pens. Definitely time to go back to the Polychromos pencils for the hedgehogs I think - I just don't get the same effect in this particular instance with the Promarkers. Papers are K&Co McKenna, Zoomz from Stamp Galaxy and flowers are Scrapfairies and Prima. Some Swarovski crystals finish it off. Thanks for looking.

Stamp Something - DRS Sketch Something Challenge

Phew! Just made this as it closes today! Great sketch from Stamp Something that I just got around to and I have combined it with the January 6x4challenge from Stamping Mad Craft Forum which has a theme of "Stamping" this month.

I have made the background with alcohol inks on glossy card and stamped this Paperbag Studios stamp in black Versafine and clear detail EP over the top. I purposely tried to get the lighter area across the eyes and mouth to highlight these areas. The swirls is a Magnolia stamp with Denim EP. I used D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder on the background card to match the swirly stamp, ribbed some Coredinations card, added some ribbon, Prima flowers and a Dovecraft brad to finish it off.

Wishing a very Happy New Year to all my lovely blogging friends.

Sore thumb - Part 2!

Finished the two I had to make now - this is the Pinflair egg I have made for my mum. I am going to make acetate boxes tonight and then put them away. Hope I don't forget them when it comes to March!!

Am starting to get a bit of a callous on my thumb so it doesn't hurt QUITE so much but was still pretty sore. Oh how we suffer for our craft eh?!!

Sore thumb!

Keeping me out of mischief in the evenings are the projects I bought for Mother's Day this year (and yes - I realise it's not until March!). These great Pinflair eggs remind me so much of the Faberge eggs when they are finished and they are really easy to do - just fiddly and time consuming ........ oh and don't forget the sore thumb from pushing in all those pins! I tried wearing a thimble but I just couldn't work with it and still pick up all the fiddly bits. This isn't made any easier by my acrylics either!

I made this one for my MIL and am halfway through a different one for my mum. I'll share a piccy when I get it finished (if my thumbs last that long!).
