CCT#218 - Pink & Green

It's been a few weeks since I last joined in with the challenge on Cute Card Thursday as I've not had much "cute" mojo recently but for this week's theme of "Pink & Green" I immediately thought of this K&Co paper which is one of my absolute favourites and all of a sudden I couldn't wait to make something!!

I have covered a little notebook with the paper and also used some SU card and flower ribbon. I have also used a Bildamalarna stamp coloured with Promarkers and a little butterfly embellishment from Calico Crafts. The bow is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used the same paper, card and bow for the large "Tic Tac" cover, as well as a Martha Stewart punch.

Thingamabob!!

We just had a swap on UK Stampers to use up a "Thingamabob". You know, the little thing you bought or saved and thought "I'll use that one day". The day came lol!!

I bought a set of two little papier mache books ages ago and decided the smaller one would make an excellent little Olde Curiosity Shoppe so I painted it with acrylics inside and out, cut a window and put acetate in it before making curtains out of velvet ribbon. The stamps are all from Graphic 45 apart from the window which is Lost Coast Designs. I stuck on a shelf and made some hinges. The little bottles are filled with glitter and alcohol inks and I filled a little blank frame with a vintage photo before filling it with Crystal Lacquer. I also used a couple of charms.

I wish I had put some "wallpaper" behind it now of the opulent velveteen embossed kind. Ah well, there's always next time - although I am happy to say that the recipient seems really pleased with it as it is!!

Postcard

The theme set by Sam for this month's postcard swap on UK Stampers was "Feathered Friends". I do like a bit of a twist on a theme if I can come up with it!! The flying pig stamp is Graphic 45, coloured with Promarkers, and the background paper is Prima over-stamped with Prima stamps. The sentiment was computer generated and I used my trusty Posca to doodle the edges. Lynn xx

ATC - Faces

This was the theme of the ATC Swap for April on the UK Stampers Forum. I have used a Stampsmith stamp and coloured the background with Adirondack inks. I made the sentiment with a Dymo machine. Lynn xx

Wednesday, 2 May 2012

On the UK Stampers Forum we have been having a 3d postcard swap and this was what I came up with. I have used Adirondack ink pads to make the background and stamped with the camera. I have used Tim Holtz Movers & Shapers camera die and mounted it onto a painted matchbox blank with the inside holding a vintage picture of a racing car. Into this I have poured Glossy Accents and set Tim Holtz Filmstrip into it. Some more Filmstrip and an Adage Ticket finish it off, along with some peg-stamped letters and a little camera charm.

The Stampsmith Challenge #29 - The Colours of Spring

On the Stampsmith Challenge Blog the theme is "The Colours of Spring" this month and I have used this paper pad by Crafty Individuals of the same name for this corner bookmark, along with some SU Card and EK Success punches. The sentiment stamp is by Paper Makeup. The template for the bookmark came from one of Splitcoast Stampers tutorials, which is a huge source of inspiration!!

The Stampsmith stamp is of course the iconic Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's. Isn't she amazing?? I cannot recommend this Company's stamps enough - they are my HUGE stamp crush at the moment lol!! Best of all one lucky participant receives a WHOLE sheet of stamps as a prize every month. I was lucky enough to be that person last month so expect more creations using these beauties.

Gothic Arches - Signs of Spring

I am running very late with all things creative at the moment as the weather has been so good since we got back from holiday and I have been making the most of it to try and tame the garden!!

It's new theme time on Gothic Arches and this time it's "Signs of Spring". To me, apart from the new growth and lambs, it's got to be that loving feeling so here's an arch created with a Stampsmith stamp, Basic Grey papers and die cuts.

CCT#206 - Signs of Spring

Gazooks - Thursday again already!!

Signs of Spring is the theme this week on Cute Card Thursday. I've gone a bit over the top (surely not I hear you cry - you are usually the absolute epitome of less is more lol!!)

I've used paper from a K&Co Tim Coffey pad and the beautiful image is by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie, which has been coloured with Promarkers. The daffodils are from various different Marie Curie stamp sets over the years and the "Spring" sentiment is by Catslife Press. Finally, I've gone a bit mad with the Waco pearl pen but I like it!!
