CCT#424 - Secrets

The challenge this week on Cute Card Thursday is to have a hidden something on your creation.

In my case, I used this Karen Burniston for Sizzix die to cut out the pop-up insert for this card. The papers are all from Basic Grey's Barista paper collection and card is Stampin' Up. I used a Spellspinders Sapphire alphabet to cut out the letters. The bird and balloon stamps are by Tim Holtz and I coloured the bird with Promarkers and Copics. I also used Stampin' Up punches for the gold balloons and circles and the strings are Karen Foster Scrapper's Floss.

Think that's it for this one - other than to say please pop on over to the blog and have a look at the other Design Team's beautiful creaitons and check out details of the competition from our sponsor Bunny Zoe's Crafts

Shine on, shine on! Something shiny is the theme this week on the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog and we are sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Closing Down Sale witha £10 gift certificate - which will go a very long way with all the huge reductions in the store!

I've used one of Kate Crane's Stampotique stamps for this little desk calendar. I coloured her with Polychromos pencils for a wee change and used Stampin' Up card to make the flippy desk thingy (technical term) that has a lovely set of post-it notes and a pencil inside. I made the little balloon with Stampin' Up's new honeycomb paper embellishments and some wire. The gems are from Prima and the sentiment was made using a WRMK foil pen. I got a large pack of these pencils from the £1 shop years ago and they keep coming in handy!

CCT#419 - Transport

This week on Cute Card Thursday we have a theme of "transport" and as our brand new sponsor is the fabby Magnolialicious I thought it was time to get the Magnolia stamps out again.

I started by stamping Edwin and then masked him off whilst I stamped the car. I then coloured everything with Promarkers and Copics and used white and silver Posca pens for accents. All the stamping was then masked and I used Promarkers and a pen spritzer to colour the background. The sentiment is by Stampin' Up, as is the cardstock. It was huge fun to make!

Hogmanay

We are really lucky where we live in that the Town puts on the most amazing fireworks on Hogmanay. This was the first year we were actually OUT since Ben was born (he's now nearly 12). Off we went to a ceilidh with the boys all be-kilted (although Ben drew the line at no pants lol!) and then took a dander down the street just before midnight to see the fabby show. There are tins throughout the Town all year collecting for the fireworks, so it really is a community effort. The Town was really busy and there was a fantastic vibe.

Here are a few of the shots I took.
