Sugar Bowl Challenge 14 - Sketch by Judy

Fabby new sketch by Judy this time from The Sugar Bowl and I jumped at the chance to use this previously un-inked Sugar Nellie stamp "Stitch" by Leanne Ellis to decorate this 8x8 album to keep pictures of my sewing projects!! There's an extra request this month of "Sparkle" on your project - which wasn't hard!!

I started using VersaMagic chalk inks to decorate a chipboard panel which I'd previously given a key with gesso. I then stamped the image, allowed it to dry and triple embossed the panel with normal "Gloss" EP (not UTEE) to get extra shine. I then used two separate bits of calico fabric, left one plain and decorated the other one with the same chalk inks before sewing them together and fraying the edges a little. Then I used Adirondack Daubers to decorate the chipboard album front and more chalk inks on the SU Sage card, which I edged with a Fiskars punch. Some K&Co and Basic Grey papers are hiding in there too and the Paper Artsy tape measure twill ribbon is attached to more Calico stamped with swirls. Flowers are by FloraDoodles and I used a tape measure flat-backed button as the centrepiece.

Glitter flowers, some gems and a sparkly button add the extra sparkle!!

I so enjoyed creating this and feel back into my crafting again. I am having a play with a canvas and some beeswax just now so hope to have something else to share soon. Thanks for looking.

Passion for Promarkers #5 - Meadow Green & Lemon

Well this is the first challenge I have made anything for for absolutely AGES!! I haven't entered the Passion for Promarkers challenge before but the colour combo this week was just too yummy to miss!! I actually wondered if I would remember how to use the Promarkers as it's been that long, but I just about managed(!)

I have coloured Tilda with Butterfly's clothes and hat just with Meadow Green and Lemon Promarkers. I wanted to show that you can achieve shading effectively just with the same colour, albeit with a little patience as you really need to do your outlining twice before you shade.

DP is Basic Grey Lime Rickey, cardstock is from a DCWV Mat Stackand I've used SU Oval All punches and sentiment. Martha Stewart border punch and Prima Flowers finish her off.

Folded card

I made this card for my friend Billie's birthday from a template I found on Split Coast Stampers (sorry if this is yours - I didn't keep a note of your blog address). It was surprising easy to make and I think it looks really effective.

I used K&Co papers, Crafty Individuals images and a few different stamps and techniques to finish it off.

I have completely overhauled and organised my craft room (moving from one end to the other)and have some new storage. Hopefully now that's finished I may even do some creating again!!

Things are sorted with the Bank now but it was a terrible experience and we are still none the wiser how it happened!!

Missing again

Some absolute PIG has cloned my bank card and been on a spree - we don't know if it's from a transaction or whether they are in our computer or not so until we can get the computer blitzed I'll be offline.

CCT #64 - Quotations

A very quick one from me today. We had a wonderful holiday but I have an ear imbalance (vertigo) now and everything is rocking around!!

This week on Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to make a card with a quotation. This card was made using Kate Knight papers and Greetings Farm Geisha Anya. The quote comes from a sheet by My Mind's Eye.

Be back very soon I hope!!

CCT #63 - Nip and a Punch!!

I'm away on holiday now until Wednesday 10th June so I am scheduling this post. Still very distrustful of this - although I don't know why as it always seems to work!!

Anyhow this is my entry for this week's challenge on Cute Card Thursday, the theme of which is "A Nip and a Punch" - to use die cuts and/or punches on your card.

We have a fabby sponsor this week Short Cuts who generously supplied the DT with a pack of goodies to create this week's card with.

I decorated the Gift Card Holder with Tapestry rubber stamps using Versacolour chalk ink. I then used the acetate to make a card blank and adhered the gift card holder inside. Tilda as Dragonfly has been coloured with Promarkers and Glossy Accents. I used K&Co Cut N Paste Mat Pad to punch a border strip with a Fiskars punch and the same pad to punch the flowers and die cut the swirls. Sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, coloured with Versacolour ink pad and triple embossed. A few dabs of Liquid Pearls finish it off!!

Pop on over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the Design Team made of their goodies!!

See you when I get back.

Cute Card Thursday #62 - Bit o' Bling!!

This is my first DT card for absolutely weeks and I am so happy to be back at Cute Card Thursday(for the moment at least).

Great theme this week - bling. I have coloured this Penny Black hedgie with Polychromos Pencils and Sansodor with chalk on the background and Glossy Accents on the flowers. Papers are K&Co Madeline, sentiment is from a Serendipity set and gems are Swarovski. Not enough bling yet so I mounted onto Gemstones cardstock and it really does shimmer wonderfully!

Make sure you pop over to the challenge blog to see the DT's creations and join in the fun.

Paint!

The theme for the Card Swap over on the Stamping Mad Craft Forum this month is "Paint" and to be honest I haven't really used my Adirondack Dabbers too much yet so I enjoyed playing and making this card. Stamps are from Paper Artsy.

Splendour

Do you ever see something and just HAVE to photograph it? Well this was one of those times after we had a heavy shower this afternoon and the lillies were all glistening in the sun. Just spendid!!

Sugar Bowl Challenge 10 - Sketch by Marlene

Now don't fall over in shock but I actually made a card and it's for a challenge too!! Wonderful sketch by Marlene from The Sugar Bowl and believe it or not this is the first time this Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie has been inked up!! Goodness - I HAVE been missing for a wee while haven't I??!!

The brief for this challenge was to use buttons and these gorgeous transparent pink ones from Poppicrafts just work so well with the K&Co Wild Raspberry papers. The Gorjuss Girl has been coloured with Promarkers and Sakura Souffle pens. The sentiment is from K&Co Dollhouse collection. Lace and ribbon from my local florists and some punched and stamped flowers finish it off.

Thanks for looking.

Stuff

Just a couple of things I have made over the last month - not that I have done much at all!!

Candle was for a housewarming present and is using a Hobby Art Stamp. The bracelet was inspired by last month's Crafts Beautiful - I so enjoy sitting fiddling with all these bits and pieces and see what I end up with!! I am going to make matching earrings and wear them next time my wonderful husband takes me out ♥

Hello!

Getting there now. Not done much crafting - more playing about really but not producing anything finished. Have loads of new goodies to play with and am feeling ready to make some cards.

Ben was 5 on Tuesday!! I am still in shock at how fast the time goes.

Hopefully be back very soon with something crafty.

Getting there!

I've got my operation date now for two weeks' time. Been pottering around the garden getting tidied up and spending time with Ben. DH just got a new job which is great news for him professionally but unfortunately does mean his leave being cut quite short at first and he won't really have a proper leave until late June.

Thanks everyone for your lovely e-mails and comments. I appreciate them so much.

I've not been doing a huge amount of crafting as I've been so tired lately but I hope to be joining in with a few challenges after I've recovered from my operation. Much love to all my friends.
