Cute Card Thursday #25 - In the Water

There's another amazing prize this week from Cute Card Thursday donated by Alota Stamps. Helene has set the theme of "In the Water" and as always a little flexibility is allowed in the theme, it can be in, on or beside water and the water can even be frozen i.e. snow or ice! Pop on over to the blog to see the amazing creations from the DT.

This beautiful stamp is from Joanna Sheen and I have water-coloured it with pencils and Twinkling H20's. Background paper is Basic Grey and the sentiment is a Craftwork Cards "Oh My Word" sentiment which I coloured with pigment ink and then triple embossed with clear EP for that dome sticker look. Thanks for looking.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges - August Seasons Theme

I had thought about showing all four Seasons ATCs together and a post from Jacqui today reminded me! There will be a new look to Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges from next week and a couple of changes so pop back on Wednesday for all the news!

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges - August Seasons Theme

It's the last week of our month-long challenge theme of "Seasons" on Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges.

This is my Winter ATC. Tilda has been coloured with Promarkers and Sakura pens. The background is red pearl card, stripy paper from a Dovecraft Christmas pack and ribbon from a craft fair ages ago. I made the little embellishment out of 3 leaf brads and 3 plain small red brads.

A Spoonful of Sugar #14 - Different Ribbons

This week the challenge from A Spoonful of Sugar is to use 3 different ribbons.

This is "Kyle with Daisy" and he's been coloured with Promarkers and Sakura pens. I really love these Cuddly Buddly characters - they are so cute! The sentiment is Cuddly Buddly too and I used Sparkle and Sprinkle EP in Marmalade. Paper is from K&Co Hopscotch Boy 6x6 paper pad, flowers from Scrap Fairies and ribbon from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Friday Sketchers #16

It's Carole from England's turn to set the sketch this week on Friday Sketchers and it's fabby!

I am in a different mood this last couple of days and have gone for a boys card today! The image is by Personal Impressions and it's been coloured with Polychromos pencils, Sakura stardust pens and Twinkling H20's. I love the little guy peering out of the spaceship window. Backing paper is K&Co Kazoo Kids, as is the chipboard sentiment and I have mounted them onto silver star holographic card. The star is actually a Christmas tag which I coloured with blue and silver Brilliance before stamping and embossing this Hobby Art stamp over the top and finishing with some Memory Thread and punched blue stars. Thanks for looking.

Gothic Arches - Black, White and a Hint of Red

The hostess this week on Gothic Arches is Chrissy Rollins and Chrissy has selected the theme of "Black, White and a Hint of Red". Fabulous! I had such fun creating this arch with alcohol inks and Promarkers. The sentiment was printed out on the computer and inked with pigment ink. Doesn't she look a minx?!

This week Gothic Arches is celebrating it's first birthday so happy birthday to you and thanks to Nancy for this fun challenge!

Birthday Somethings & Daring Cardmakers "This Way"

The theme this week from Daring Cardmakers is "This Way" and they want you to use arrows on your card whereas Stamp Something have set a challenge to make a "Birthday Something" this week!

I needed to make DH's brother's 40th birthday card for next month and have been wanting to have a go at one of these Joy Fold Cards for a while after seeing a forum member's version on the Stamping Mad Craft Forum. The instructions came from Split Coast Stampers here. A really unusual looking card but very easy to make. I just altered mine slightly in that I cut double size for the base card and folded it in half so the finished item would stand up like a standard card.

The Magnolia "Cool Edwin" stamp has been coloured with Polychromos Pencils and Sansodor and I have gone over his jacket and shoes with clear Sakura Gel Pen to give them a shine. The papers were free with Crafts Beautiful months ago. The curved arrows are brads and I have added ribbon, gems and Sakura Stardust accents to punched stars to finish it off. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black Saturday #11 - No Cards Allowed

I have been meaning to make a new mobile phone charm for about 2 months since my old one snapped so the challenge this week from Penny Black Saturday was the prompt I needed!

I coloured the Penny Black image with Polychromos pencils onto shrink plastic and water-coloured the background before popping it onto some chain and adding beads and a charm. I'll be jingly jangly again now - hurrah!

Rainbow Lady Challenge #27 - Transport & Di Hickman Sketch August #3

Ho Daddy Surf's Up or whatever dude! The theme this week from Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog is "Transport" and I haven't joined in with a sketch from Di Hickman for ages but this one was just too good not to do - thanks Di it's a cracker!

I don't do black and white too often but I like the effect of this. The papers are from the Dovecraft Charcoal 6x6 paper pack and the fabby VW "surfer's" van is an Anita's stamp with the sentiment masked off. The sentiment is a straight one from Whispers but I masked off the words individually to stamp it into the circle. Ribbons and gems from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday #24 - Bright Colours

The theme this week from Cute Card Thursday is "Bright Colours" and the DT have really come up with some wonderful creations this week! There's the chance to win 2 fabby stamps from Spiral Whisper too!

This is Travelling Tilda and she's all dressed up ready to go on holiday but the train is late so she's having a little rest on her suitcases! The Magnolia images have been coloured with Promarkers, Sakura and Ranger pens. The background paper is Basic Grey Sultry, flowers are a mixture of Prima and Scrap Fairies, gems are Swarovski and sentiment is Studio G stamped in Stazon. I made the little swirls on the flowers with craft wife and beads. Thanks for looking.

Stamp with Sarah Kay #8 - Sketch

Challenge #8 from Stamp with Sarah Kay brings another great sketch! I masked off a circle before stamping this Sarah Kay stamp and colouring with Promarkers and Sakura Souffle pens. I made the frame using my Ultimate Board and cutting out the aperture with a craft knife. Background paper is HOTP, card is SU, ribbon from local florist, Zoomz from Stamp Galaxy and flowers Prima. Thanks for looking.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges - August Seasons Theme

We are on week 3 of the month-long "Seasons" theme from Tilda & Friends ATC Challenges. There are some new ATCs from the Design Team over on the blog for you to see too!

Edwin is a busy bee sweeping up the leaves for Tilda! He's been coloured with Promarkers and Sakura Stardust pens. The paper is Basic Grey Motifica, ribbon gems and brads from my stash (which is code for I cannot remember where I got them!). Thanks for looking.

A Spoonful of Sugar #13 - Sketch

The kids went back to school today in Scotland so DS is back at Nursery so this morning I made a lovely cup of Earl Grey and sat down to make this card using the sketch from A Spoonful of Sugar.

The Hanglar and Stanglar image was sent to me from Annie and I have coloured her and puss with Promarkers and Ranger white pen. The card is SU and the backing papers are magazine freebies. Flowers are Prima and Scrap Fairies, ribbon is Hobbycraft and Joanna Sheen and I used embroidery threads on the image and button. Zoomz from Stamp Galaxy and an Ellison die cut sentiment finish it off. Thanks for looking.

Rainbow Lady Challenge #26 - Music

When plodding on with my Christmas cards last night I had forgotten I had bought this stamp from Crafty Individuals (oops). Love it actually - expect to see it in all sort of forms this Christmas! With it's musical notes and background of pigment ink sponged music napkin it fits the challenge this week of "Music" from Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog perfectly!

I know I have been given quite a few awards in the last month - I am not ignoring them or being ungrateful (honest!). I am very appreciative of anyone that takes the time to read my blog and give me an award so thanks VERY much. I haven't gotten around to doing the posting of them and sending them on so basically (being very lazy), if you are reading this and I visit YOUR blog then you get the awards too as I really cannot chose between all my lovely blogging friends :)

Penny Black Saturday #10 - Ribbon & Stamp Something - Summer

"Ribbon" is the theme this week from Penny Black Saturday Challenge and Stamp Something want you to stamp something that reminds you of summertime. Rain and gales spring to mind this last few weeks here!

Of course summer flowers do it for me every time so this gorgeous paper from Crafty Individuals is just perfect for the job! I have coloured the Penny Black hedgie with Polychromos Pencils and Sansodor but left his spines unblended. The sentiment is a Crafy Bitz sticker mounted onto ovals to match the image. Some yummy ribbon from my local florist, a couple of punched Anna Griffin butterflies and some Prisma glitter finish it off. Thanks for looking.
